Angulo went on to take down Kevin Pritchard (Gaastra, Starboard) in the first double elimination final but Pritchard fought back in the second final to take the event victory here in Sylt. PWA Sylt 2003 Day 6 : Albeau Leads But Buzianis And Brzozowski Battle For The Overall Title!
French all rounder Antoine Albeau (AHD, Neil Pryde) has consolidated his lead today after posting four strong results during a sensational day of race action here at the Labello, Sylt, PWA, Grand Slam. Antoine’s runaway lead, however, could not overshadow the big story of the event, the seesaw battle for the 2003 overall race title between Wojtek Brzozowski (Neil Pryde, Starboard) and Micah Buzianis (Mistral, North). Although the 12-14 knot winds were proclaimed by Wojtek to be his ideal conditions, he has been unable as of yet to break Micah’s current hold on the title race. Ross Williams (Gaastra, Starboard) of Britain also continued his run of excellent form and maintained his position in second following a string of strong performances in today’s races. The top four positions here in Sylt, have remained unchanged after an intense day on the race course although Kevin Pritchard (Gaastra, Starboard) dropped out of the top five into seventh with Gonzalo Costa Hoevel (Neil Pryde, Starboard) of Argentina moving up into his slot.

PWA Sylt 2003 Day 5 : Angulo Versus Dunkerbeck To Decide The Title!
The battle for the PWA 2003 overall wave title is hanging in the balance after yet another day of sensational action packed drama here in at the Labello, Sylt, PWA 2003 Grand Slam. As it stands Josh Angulo has moved up into first overall, ahead on a tie break situation with ex world champion Bjorn Dunkerbeck (Neil Pryde). Despite the fact Angulo did not compete today Dunkerbeck's advance over Vidar Jensen (North) in the double elimination meant that Vidar has dropped to third place overall in the world tour rankings with American sailor Matt Pritchard (Gaastra) moving into fourth. Ironically the final heat of the day between Bjorn Dunkerbeck (Neil Pryde) and Josh Angulo was abandoned due to fading conditions although the heat would have decided once and for all the world champion for 2003. We will now have to wait to see if wave conditions return for both the results here in Sylt and the final conclusion to the PWA 2003 wave tour.

PWA Sylt 2003 Day 4
The unpredictable weather here in Sylt continues at the Labello, PWA, Grand Slam with 8-10 knot winds picking up late in the day allowing two races. Continuing in his winning ways after yesterdays wave victory, Kevin Pritchard of America (Gaastra, Starboard) picked up a bullet in the first race win with British sailor Ross Williams (Gaastra, Starboard) sailing brilliantly to take the second. Pieter Bijl (Neil Pryde, Fanatic) of Holland also had an excellent day on the race course picking up runner up finishes in both races. After today’s results, Antoine Albeau (AHD, Neil Pryde) of France still remains in the lead after six races (with two discards) although Ross Williams has closed the gap in second with Wojtek Brzozowski (Starboard, Neil Pryde) moving up from seventh into the remaining podium position.
